Make DORIBAX® your carbapenem for in vitro* potency against
P aeruginosa
CAPITAL Program: Low MICs against P aeruginosa isolates of concern*†1

The CAPITAL (Carbapenem Antimicrobials Pseudomonas Isolate Testing At regional Locations) program, a surveillance study sponsored by Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., determined MIC values of antipseudomonal agents against Pseudomonas aeruginosa (6142) isolates from 214 geographically distributed clinical laboratories in the United States and Puerto Rico from June 2009 to November 2009.1
Percent of isolates with MICs ≤2 µg/mL, ≤4 µg/mL, and ≤8 µg/mL1:
- DORIBAX®—83%, 90%, and 96%, respectively
- meropenem—80%, 85%, and 90%, respectively
*In vitro activity does not necessarily correlate with clinical results; not intended to convey comparative safety or efficacy.
† FDA susceptible breakpoint: DORIBAX®, MIC ≤2 µg/mL; meropenem,
MIC ≤4 µg/mL.2
